Alleged Heroin Dealer Arrested At Vienna Metro In Undercover Drug Bust

Man sold heroin to undercover cops four times in two months, police say.

A 33-year-old Fairfax Station man was arrested and charged with four counts of distributing heroin during evening rush hour at the Vienna Metro Station on Wednesday.

Garrett R. Acker of Fairfax Station allegedly sold and delivered heroin to undercover Fairfax County narcotics detectives on four occasions over the course of two months.

"Undercover detectives told Acker that the drugs would be distributed to Fairfax County juveniles," said a police news release.

Fairfax County Police Spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said heroin is not something detectives see every day -- but it is something they encounter often in various parts of Fairfax County.

Several years ago, a heroin ring in the Western part of Fairfax County – including at Westfield High School –caused at least 18 deaths across the county.

"We hope this at least prompts a necessary conversation at home with teens and all young adults about the use of addictive drugs," Caldwell said.
