Personal Trainer David Cohen Offers Evening Tai Chi Classes Beginning June 2

Fairfax, Va. — Fitness enthusiasts can improve balance, gain flexibility and learn self-defense under the guidance of Tai Chi expert David Cohen — in his latest hour-long Tai Chi class to be held at 5:45 p.m. Mondays beginningJune 2.

The class, which will be taught at the City of Fairfax Green Acres Center, will focus on fitness, flexibility, chi cultivation and healing.

Tai Chi is a gentle, internal martial art that can be practiced by those with a wide range of fitness and flexibility levels. Tai Chi improves balance and overall health. The only “equipment” you need is comfortable shoes and clothing that allows you to move easily.

The class is offered through the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department. Students can sign up online via the City of Fairfax website or by calling 703-385-7858.

David also teaches a Tai Chi class for seniors on Friday mornings at the Green Acres Senior Center through the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department.

Cohen, an advanced health and fitness specialist, has been a personal trainer since 2005, with clients ranging in age from teens to senior citizens. He holds certifications for advanced health and fitness specialist and personal training through American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.). He also is a certified chi healer and teaches Pilates and Tai Chi.
