John Augustus Elliot, Sr., 83, passed away quietly on the morning of Nov. 11, 2013, at his home in Fairfax, Va.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Elliot and son, John Elliot, Jr.
John is survived by a brother and a sister, eight children, 28 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

John was an active member of his community. He freely gave his time to Fairfax Boys Club (later Fairfax Police Youth Club), Fairfax Little League, and St. Mary of Sorrows Church.
John graduated from Yale University and was recruited by IBM, where he worked until his retirement.

There will be a memorial mass celebrating his life on Monday, Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary of Sorrows Church, 5222 Sideburn Road, Fairfax, Va., followed by a private interment for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Fairfax Little League, 3911 Old Lee Hwy, Suite 43-E, Fairfax, VA 22030.
