The Truro congregation gets another year at its church facilities in Fairfax City according to a statement released this afternoon.
Truro and the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia agreed on a settlement after five years of emotional litigation. The settlement gives the congregation rent-free use of Truro Church until June 30, 2013. In return, the diocese gets to use an area of the church as needed and will receive $50,000 in liquid assets claims from the congregation.
