WGMU Summer Radio Camp

WGMU, George Mason University's radio
station hosts a summer camp every year designed for students in grades 6-12 to
experience hands on training in a professional radio environment.



Students will:

-get a chance to be a deejay and play

music over WGMU, broadcasting around the world from our web site



-learn from broadcast professionals how

radio works

Find out what's happening in Fairfax Citywith free, real-time updates from Patch.



-learn how to write and produce a

commercial and newscast



-attend a field trip to an area radio

station to give students a "behind the scenes" look at radio.

Dates and times: July 21-25 and July 28-August 1, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

each day.
