How Did Fairfax City Residents Vote in the Governor's Race?

See how close the race was at Fairfax City polls.

Democrat Terry McAuliffe beat Ken Cuccinelli by around 2 percent of votes statewide on Tuesday.

In Fairfax City, McAuliffe won by close to 17 percent, or 1,200 votes.

Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis pretty consistently garnered around 5 percent of votes across all City precincts, except one - in precinct 6, he received more than 7 percent.

According to unofficial returns from the State Board of Elections, a total of 7,153 votes were cast in the City of Fairfax.

Here's how those votes broke down:

Precinct 1 (Fairfax Presbyterian Church):
Cuccinelli: 349 votes (36.81%)
McAuliffe: 539 votes (56.86%)
Sarvis: 56 votes (5.91%)

Precinct 2 (Sherwood Community Center):
Cuccinelli: 453 votes (43.45%)
McAuliffe: 573 votes (52.42%)
Sarvis: 57 votes (5.22%)

Precinct 3 (Daniels Run Elementary):
Cuccinelli: 541 votes (37.86%)
McAuliffe: 808 votes (56.54%)
Sarvis: 72 votes (5.04%)

Precinct 4 (City Hall):
Cuccinelli: 447 votes (37.66%)
McAuliffe: 674 votes (56.78%)
Sarvis: 63 votes (5.31%)

Precinct 5 (Fairfax High School):
Cuccinelli: 395 votes (38.61%)
McAuliffe: 570 votes (55.72%)
Sarvis: 55 votes (5.38%)

Precinct 6 (Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church):
Cuccinelli: 395 votes (39.04%)
McAuliffe: 496 votes (53.05%)
Sarvis: 69 votes (7.38%)
