Governor's Race Virtually Tied - Who Do You Support?

A recent poll suggests Virginia voters aren't that thrilled with either candidate, though.

Polls are polls - sometimes they vary widely, and sometimes they don’t.

But here’s what virtually all the current polls show: Virginians aren’t thrilled with their choices of Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli for governor.

The most recent Roanoke College poll shows McAuliffe with a two-point lead, 35 percent to 33 percent, over Cuccinelli, the state’s current attorney general. 

Given the margin of error of 3.3 percentage points, that indicates the race is virtually tied.

The third choice, Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis, is grabbing 8 percent of the vote, but the poll shows most people don’t know who he is — or that he’s even running.
