Why Go: "Art Carnage features indie artists and crafters selling their wares in a juried art market alongside a frenzied variety show. Musicians, dancers, poets, story tellers, actors, improv troops and other performers will take to the stage in this four hour event dedicated to free expression and creativity."

Where/When: , 2854 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton. Sunday, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Join New Day and the Unity Chorus in this benefit concert for clean water initiatives locally and abroad.

Pricing: Free, but a suggested admission donation of $15

Where/When: , 11250 James Swart Cir, Fairfax. Saturday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why Go: "Come to the third annual D.C. Hokies Chili Cook-Off and enjoy live music, drink specials, and raffles. Judging begins at 8 P.M.  Stay for the Virginia Tech vs Duke basketball game at 9 P.M. All proceeds go towards providing scholarships to local high school students."

Pricing: $10 at door; $8 online; children 10 years and under are free.

4. Charity Dog Wash hosted by The Happy Woof and a Special Adoption Event

Where/When: Saturdayfrom 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. at .

Why Go: It's a special adoption day at The Happy Woof. There are a lot of great dogs out there just waiting for someone to come by and make them a part of the family.

Pricing: $20 includes everything to wash, rinse, and dry your dog. $5 of every self-serve wash is donated to Mutt Love Rescue

Where/When: , 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean. Sunday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Washington's most popular comedy show, made up of several ex-Hill staffers, is coming to Langley High School to raise money for the end-of-the-year graduation party.

Pricing: $30; All proceeds benefit Langley High School's All Night Grad Party 2011.
