BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECTDaytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) south from Sydenstricker Rd. to Gambril Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for barrier work and overhead sign installation.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) east from the Whitler's Creek Dr. to Accotink Creek bridge - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for median construction and new exit ramp work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median work.
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Friday for construction entrance work.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, make a right on Old Meadow Rd., left on Colshire Dr. and then follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Westwood Center Dr. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Gosnell Rd. - Left turn lane closed Wednesday - Friday for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Tyco Rd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Westpark Dr. - Left turn lane closed Wednesday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a right onto International Dr. north, make a right onto Galleria Dr. east, right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Westwood Center Dr. east at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Tyco Rd. west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Westpark Dr. east and west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lanes and through lanes closed Monday and Tuesday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for span work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Gosnell Rd. north at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lanes closed Monday and Tuesday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Right turn lane closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Capital One Dr. to I-495 - Right lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work.

Police will be on site for motorist safety. All closures are weather permitting.

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  All closures are weather permitting.

 495 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 - Ramp closed Monday - Wednesday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south at Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south - Ramp closed Tuesday night for concrete pour. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right on International Dr. north, and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday night for barrier shift. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a U-turn on International Dr. onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 south.
• I-495 north at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Three right lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for box girder installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Right lane closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. 
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for box girder installation. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• I-495 north to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for box girder installation. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Right lane closed Sunday night for traffic shift.
• I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Sunday night for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday night for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday night for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-66 west - Ramp closed intermittently Sunday - Saturday nights after midnight for up to 30 minutes after midnight for overhead sign installation.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west between Old Gallows Rd. and Kidwell Dr. overpass- Multiple lanes closed Monday for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 49, I-66 west - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for traffic shifts. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 49A, I-66 west.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 west from Exit 67, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) to Exit 64, I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for utility work and traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 east from Gallows Rd. (Route 650) overpass to I-495 - Left lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work.
• Nutley St. south to I-66 east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take I-66 west to Exit 57A, Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. (Route 50) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• Nutley St. north to I-66 east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take I-66 west to Exit 57A, Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. (Route 50) east, stay to the left and follow signs to I-66 east.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and Fairview Park Dr. to I-495 north - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 north at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Three right lanes closed Sunday - Thursday nights for road striping. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south at Wakefield Park pedestrian bridge - Three right lanes will close Monday - Thursday nights for bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south at Heming Ave. underpass - Multiple lanes closed Monday - Wednesday nights for overhead sign installation.
• I-495 north from I-395 to Heming Ave underpass - Left lane closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhead sign work.

Police will be on site for motorist safety.

Weekday work- Closures occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-66 east HOV (left exit) to I-495 - Ramp closed Monday - Friday for road work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east general purpose (right exits) to either I-495 north or south. 
  
  Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.

Ongoing work

• Twelve interchanges along the I-495 corridor from the Springfield Interchange to just north of the Dulles Toll Road are under construction until December 2012. Visit the 495 Express Lanes Interchange Fact Sheet Page.
