BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Daytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100/286) south to Rolling Rd. north - Single lane of ramp closed Monday - Friday for shoulder work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100/286) north and south from Pohick Rd. to Rolling Rd. overpass – Single lane close Monday – Friday for signal, electrical and paving work.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900/289) east and west from Rolling Rd. to Accotink Creek bridge - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for signal, electrical and paving work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 7100/286) north to Franconia Springfield Parkway (Route 7900/289) - Single lane of ramp closed Monday - Friday for shoulder work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100/286) north and south from Barta Rd. to new Rolling Rd. overpass - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for median and shoulder work. Expect an intermittent full southbound road closure of up to 20 minutes for equipment movement.
• Rolling Rd. north and south at Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900/289) to Barta Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for median and shoulder work.
• Relocated Rolling Rd. north and south from Richfield Rd. to Barkers Ct. - Single lane closures Monday - Friday for shoulder construction. Two-way traffic will be directed by a flagger.

95 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work

• I-95 HOV lanes from Franconia Springfield Pkwy (Route 7900/289) to Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday and Saturday nights from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m. for test bores. Traffic will be directed to use the general purpose lanes.

Daytime work

• I-95 north from Exit 152, Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) to Exit 169, Franconia/Old Keene Mill Rd. (Route 644) - Mobile single lane closure Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for utility work.
• I-95 south from Exit 169, Franconia/Old Keene Mill Rd. (Route 644) to Exit 152, Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) - Mobile single lane closure Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for utility work.
• I-395 north from Exit 169, Franconia/Old Keene Mill Rd. (Route 644) to Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) - Mobile single lane closure Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for utility work.
• I-395 south from Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) to Exit 169, Franconia/Old Keene Mill Rd. (Route 644) - Mobile single lane closure Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for utility work.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east from Trap Rd. to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Thursday and Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to use the Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east from Trap Rd. to Spring Hill Rd. - Right lane closed Thursday and Friday nights for bridge work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Spring Hill Rd. - Left turn lane closed Friday night for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and make a right onto Spring Hill Rd.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Sunday and Monday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Westwood Center Dr. - Multiple lanes closed Friday night for signal work, barrier movement and road shifts.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Marshall's Dr. – Left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for station work.
• Spring Hill Rd. north and south at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lanes closed Friday night for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday – Saturday nights for station work. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to make a left onto International Dr., right onto Galleria Dr. and follow signs to Tysons Blvd.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. – Two right lanes closed Sunday – Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a right onto International Dr., right onto Galleria Dr. and follow signs to Tysons Blvd.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Galleria Dr., right onto Tysons Blvd., left on International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123)
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Sunday – Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr., and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Scotts Crossing Rd. to Capital One Dr. - Multiple lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for storm drainage work.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Left turn lane closed Thursday night for utility work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Scotts Crossing Rd. and follow signs to Capital One Dr.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Left turn lane closed Friday night, 9 p.m. April 20, through Monday morning, 5 a.m. April 23, for utility work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Scotts Crossing Rd. and follow signs to Capital One Dr.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).

495 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-495 north just after Old Dominion Dr. overpass – Three lanes closed Friday and Saturday night for bridge joint work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east at I-495 - Two left lanes closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhang removal. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 45B, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights for overhand removal. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.
• I-495 south from Exit 45, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three right lanes closed Wednesday night for sign work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• I-495 south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) north - Ramp closed Sunday and Monday nights for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue southbound and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right onto International Dr. and a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north.
• I-495 south from Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left lane closed Sunday night for barrier movement.
• I-495 south at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Right lane closed Monday night for barrier movement.
• I-495 south to Exit 47A & B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east - Ramps closed Monday night for barrier movement. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday night for barrier movement. Traffic will be directed to make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.
• I-495 north to Exit 47A and B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east - Ramps closed Thursday - Saturday nights for bridge traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-66 west - Ramp closed intermittently for up to 30 minutes after midnight Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation and utility work.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation and road work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 west from Exit 67, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) to Exit 64, I-495 - Single lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for utility and sign work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 east from Exit 62, Nutley St. to Exit 67, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 east general purpose ramp (right exit) or HOV (left exit) to I-495 north or south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition and sign work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV ramp (left exit) or general purpose ramp (right exit) to access I-495 north or south.
• Nutley St. north and south to I-66 east - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take I-66 west to Exit 57A, Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. (Route 50) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and Fairview Park Dr. to I-495 north - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 north from Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) –  In certain areas, three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for traffic shift, bridge demolition, painting and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) - Right lane of ramp closed Tuesday night for overhead sign work.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Thursday night for sign work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south from Woodburn Rd. to I-495 - Road closed Monday night for overhead sign work. Traffic will be directed by flagger to use the northbound lanes.
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday night for overhead sign work. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 south.
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and south to I-495 north - Ramp closed Thursday night for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south from Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) to Heming Ave underpass - Three lanes closed Monday - Friday night for milling and paving.
• I-495 north to Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west - Ramp closed Monday night for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 52A, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west.
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west from I-495 to Port Royal Rd.  - Two lanes closed Monday night for traffic shift.
• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) to Exit 169 B/A, Franconia/Springfield (Route 644) - Single lane of ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge painting.
• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) at Exit 173, Van Dorn St. (Route 401) - Three left lanes closed Thursday night for sign work.
• I-395 south to Exit 169 B/A, Franconia/Springfield (Route 644) - Single lane of ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge painting.

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.

Ongoing work
