BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Daytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia-Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900)- Single lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median or shoulder widening.
• Franconia-Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) east from the Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) to Accotink Creek bridge - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for the addition of a new exit ramp. 
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Friday for material delivery.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-495 south from Old Dominion Dr. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three right lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for striping and bridge work.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from Magarity Rd. overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass - Left lane closed Monday - Thursday nights for milling and paving.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Gosnell Rd. - Left turn lane closed Monday - Friday nights for crane work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Spring Hill Rd. to Gosnell Rd. - Two right lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Westpark Dr. - Left turn lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south to Tysons Blvd. - Turn lanes closed Wednesday - Friday nights for span work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detours.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for pavement restoration.
• Gosnell Rd. north at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane closed Monday - Friday nights for crane work.
• Westpark Dr. west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Monday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Westpark Dr. east from Jones Branch Dr. to Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Wednesday through Friday nights for span work.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Two through lanes closed Wednesday - Friday nights for span work.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Wednesday - Friday nights for span work.

Police will be on site for motorist safety. All closures are weather permitting.

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  All closures are weather permitting.

Ongoing work

• No left turns from the Route 123 south ramp to Route 7 east. Motorists should use International Drive to access Leesburg Pike (Route 7)

I-495 CAPITAL BELTWAY HOT LANES

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-495 south to Exit 45B, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhang removal. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Monday - Tuesday nights for for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. west at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled.
• Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east at I-495 - Single lane closed Monday and Tuesday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south - Ramp closed Monday - Wednesday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Wednesday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed south, make a left onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 - Two lanes closed Monday - Wednesday nights night for paving.
• I-495 north at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Three left lanes closed Thursday night for overhead sign work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the left and make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at I-495 - Intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Four lanes out of five closed Monday - Saturday nights for bridge painting and demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 49B, I-66 east - Ramp closed Monday - Saturday nights for roadwork. Traffic continuing to I-66 east will be directed to take Exit 49, I-66 west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• I-495 north from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass – Four lanes of five closed Monday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition and road work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, take Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east and then signs to I-495 south.
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) OR general purpose (right exits) ramp to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Saturday nights for bridge construction. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV (left exit) to general purpose (right exits) to access I-495.
• I-66 east from Cedar Ln overpass to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two right lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to use a single lane of either Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south.
• I-495 north at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Three right lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for Traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 50A, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) west and follow signs to Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and Fairview Park Dr. to I-495 north - Ramps closed Monday - Friday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue west on Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) take Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south, and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east and west at I-495 - Two lanes closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east - Ramp closed Monday - Friday for ground work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday – Friday night for ground work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• I-495 north (Inner Loop) at Exit 173, Van Dorn St. - Two left lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for overhead sign work.

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.
