New Little River Turnpike Westbound I-495 Bridge to Open Today
New traffic pattern in place by midday Aug. 19
By midday, Friday, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will open the new westbound Little River Turnpike (Route 236) bridge over I-495.
According to a news release from VDOT, the new bridge will "allow for two lanes of through traffic and restoring the merge lane from I-495 north onto Little River Turnpike west."
Motorists should expect lane closures to continue in the Little River Turnpike area as crews complete ramps and advance work on the new I-495 HOT Lanes.
