BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) north and south onto Franconia-Springfield Parkway (Route 7900) east and west, from Whitler's Creek Dr. to Accotink Creek bridge- Left lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median.
• Franconia-Springfield Parkway (Route 7900) east from ramp to Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) to Accotink Creek bridge - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for the addition of a new exit ramp.
• Fairfax County Parkway Extension (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia-Springfield Parkway (Route 7900) - Single alternating lane closures Monday - Friday for construction in median or widening shoulder.
• Hooes Road east and west at Barkers Court - Flagger to direct traffic Monday - Friday for truck access to construction entrance.

• I-495 south from the ramp to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Ramp closed - Thursday for installation of an acoustical barrier. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, turn right on International Drive north to Chain Bridge Road (Route 123).
• I-495 south from Lewinsville Rd. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three left lanes closed Sunday and Monday nights for stripping work.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at Trap Rd. overpass - Left lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for lowering conduit crossing. 
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west at Spring Rd. - Multiple lanes closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from International Drive to Frontage Rd. - Two left lanes closed Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday nights for concrete pouring.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) - Left lane closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Tyco Rd. - Left turn lane closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at ramp to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday and Wednesday nights for installation of acoustical barrier. Traffic will be directed to continue south to International Drive north, turn right on Galleria Drive, turn right on Tysons Blvd, left on Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) north, then follow signs to I-495 south.
• Spring Hill Rd. north and south at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Right lane closed Monday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Westpark Drive east and west from Galleria Drive to Ring Rd. - Road closed Wednesday night for installation of acoustical barrier. Traffic will directed to International Drive. Police will be on-site for motorist safety.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).

• No left turns from the Route 123 south ramp to Route 7 east. Use International Drive.

• I-495 south at I-66 - One right lane closed all weekend starting Friday night at 9 p.m.- Monday 5 a.m. for drainage and shoulder work. 
• I-495 south at the George Washington Parkway - One lane closed Sunday night for lane shift. 
• I-495 south from Old Dominion Drive Overpass to Exit 45, Dulles Toll Road – Mobile operation two lanes closed Sunday, Thursday and Friday nights for survey work. 
• I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.  
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Wednesday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to the Dulles roll Rd. (Route 267) east. Motorists will not be tolled. 
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east at I-495 north – One lane closed Friday and Saturday nights for ramp shift. 
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for ramp shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.  
  Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. west at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday - Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled. 
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday night for utility work. 
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at I-495 - Single lane closed Monday night for utility work. 
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday night for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue on Route 123 south, U-turn at the traffic signal at International Drive and follow signs to I-495 south.
• I-495 south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Road north – Ramp closed Sunday night for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue on I-495 south to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, ride the loop ramps and follow signs to I-495 north to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) north.
• I-495 north and south at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) – Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight Sunday - Wednesday night for utility line work. 
• I-495 north at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Three left lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to exit onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, U-turn at the traffic signal near George Marshall High School onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to continue west, turn right on International Drive, right on Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north. 
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to turn left on International Drive, right on Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Tuesday nights for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, U-turn at the traffic signal near George Marshall High School onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at I-495 – One lane closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. 
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at I-495 near Kidwell/Towers Crescent – Two lanes closed Tuesday night for overhead sign work. 
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to the Lee Highway Overpass – Four out of five lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting and overhead sign work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-495 north to Exit 49B, I-66 east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for roadwork. Traffic continuing to I-66 east will be directed to take Exit 49, I-66 west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east. Expect intermittent full ramp closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight on the exit ramp to I-66 west, Exit 49. 
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to continue west, take Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east and then signs to I-495 south. 
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) OR general purpose (right exits) ramp to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge construction. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV (left exit) or general purpose (right exits) to access I-495. 
• I-66 east from Cedar Ln overpass to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two right lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-495 north from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass – Four out of five lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting and overhead sign work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to use a single lane of either Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south.
• I-495 north at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Three lanes closed Monday- Friday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Turnpike (Route 236) east, ride loop ramps and follow signs to I-495 north 
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 south. 
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and south at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for drainage work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-495 south from Wakefield Park pedestrian bridge to Heming Avenue underpass- Three right lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-495 south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west and make a left at the traffic signal onto Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east.
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 52A, Little River Turnpike (Route 236) west, ride the loop ramps and follow signs to I-495 south. 
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 52A, Little River Turnpike (Route 236) west, ride the loop ramps and follow signs to I-495 south.

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area.

Ongoing work
