  • Evening Book Discussion: Join avid readers in discussing "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara. Fairfax City Regional Library, 7:30 p.m.

  • Economic Development Authority Meeting: Fairfax Innovation Center, 4031 University Drive, 5:30 p.m.
  • Board of Architectural Review Meeting: City Hall, 7:30 p.m.
  • Conversation with Kevin Powell: Speak with writer, activist, public speaker and entrepreneur Kevin Powell.   • Cool Cats & Hot Dogs: Stories, songs and finger plays. Ages 3-5. Must be accompanied by an adult. Fairfax City Regional Library, 10:30 a.m.
  • Afternoon Reading Group: Discuss "Bel Canto" by Ann Patchett. Fairfax City Regional Library, 1 p.m.
  • Main Street Community Band Performance: As part of the city's Summer Concert Series, the Main Street Community Band performs at Veterans Amphitheater by City Hall, 8 p.m.
