FATHER LEO PATALINGHUG PARTNERS WITH ALVITI CREATIONS TO RELEASE REVOLUTIONARY NEW PRODUCT FOR MASS, "THE GIFT VESSEL"
New Liturgical Vessel to Offer a More Peaceful and Prayerful Way to Receiving Holy Communion for the Gluten Intolerant
Baltimore, Md. – Fr. Leo Patalinghug (“Fr. Leo”), Catholic priest, celebrated chef, founder of Grace Before Meals and well-renowned author, today announced he has partnered with Alviti Creations to release a new revolutionary product based on his patented design: The GIFT. The GIFT (Gluten Intolerant Faithful Thanksgiving) is a new liturgical vessel designed to help the process of giving Holy Communion to people with gluten related health concerns. The GIFT is the very first of its kind as its beautifully constructed and easy-to-use design attaches to most existing ciborium, keeping low gluten hosts separated from other hosts, while offering a simpler and more dignified way to distribute the Eucharist to those with special low gluten needs, including wheat allergy, gluten intolerance and Celiac Disease. Using special hosts approved by the Catholic Church, the GIFT helps address what is becoming quite a prevalent dietary issue throughout the U.S. and the growing need for a gluten conscious solution for Holy Communion, simplifying everything for both the recipient and the distributor at Communion, as well. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable foundation to help feed God’s hungry children.
“I am honored to partner with Alviti Creations to help release and distribute this new revolutionary liturgical vessel,” said Fr. Leo Patalinghug. “As a part of my evangelization and ministry, I travel around the country and the world, and I see a real need to improve our way to give Holy Communion to people with special needs related to gluten intolerance. The GIFT allows anyone with gluten-related concerns to receive Communion with real peace, body, mind and soul, so that one can receive the greatest gift of all, the Lord’s body and blood in Holy Communion.”
“We are so proud of the GIFT because it is beautiful, functional, keeping with the liturgical laws of the Church and truly an inspired idea to keep the Rite sacred, holy and prayerful,” said Paula Alviti, Vice President of Alviti Creations. “After manufacturing for more than 40 years, Alviti is grateful to have this opportunity to provide the Church with a useful and dignified vessel.”
The GIFT is now available through Alviti Creations or your local liturgical goods supplier. Each order of the GIFT, includes a specially designed amulet that when shown before receiving communion provides non-verbal communication indicating the need for a special host. Additionally, Grace Before Meals and Alviti teamed up to create a video to help promote their product. You can watch The GIFT: Gluten Intolerant Faithful Thanksgiving video HERE.
