Taschler Open House Promotes Thriving Local Business Community

The event featured food, goods and services from other businesses within the city limits.

Residents and local businesses were treated to free massages, raffle prizes, grilled steaks and healthy smoothies courtesy of the Taschler Spine and Rehab Center Tuesday night. The open house aimed to promote local business development in Fairfax City.

“My passion is really business to business development in the city of Fairfax,” said Dr. Jennifer Lee Taschler, owner of a chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy practice tucked away in the business park behind Buffalo Wing University just off Main Street. Taschler has been in the chiropractic business for nine years.

“We have one of the largest numbers of small businesses in the nation, and I want to keep it that way," she said. "If I want a pair of tennis shoes, instead of going to a huge chain store, I go to Pacers up the street, and we send patients there too.”

The open house event featured over 40 door prizes from local businesses, including the newly opened Twins Ace Hardware store and the Wine House bar and bistro.

In addition to the free food and massages, Taschler also provided free bags full of offers and coupons from local Fairfax City businesses as well.

The Taschler Center, which opened three years ago, is unique in the number of services they provide under one roof, unlike some rehab centers that only treat certain conditions and then send patients elsewhere still in pain.

“My goal was to have under one roof, rehab, and chiropractic and massage services. We have it all here,” said Taschler. “We want people to come in, we offer them tea, we have water stations, we want them to sit down and relax. We’ve created an oasis for them; it’s a center for healing.”

This marked the first business-to-business open house hosted by Taschler, and they plan on having similar events in the future to promote their services as well as the other great small businesses in the city limits.
