New Nike Skateboard Shoes Have a Big Fan in Fairfax

Customer reportedly camped outside for two days to get the "Diamond Tiffany Dunk High" shoes.

The very active Mosaic District Facebook page has a great photo of a local customer who was first in line to get the new Nike skateboard sneakers over the weekend at the local Palace 5ive skate shop.

"He camped outside for two days...got the 1st pair of the limited edition Nike Skateboarding shoes!" according to the Facebook post.

This local customer wasn't alone. People were camping out in Columbia, S.C., and lining up in Bayonne, N.J., for the "Diamond Tiffany Dunk High" shoes.

NJ.com explains: "In 2005, Nike joined forces with Diamond Supply Company to release the first iteration of the shoe in a low top model. Nike rarely re-releases a sneaker model, so even with 30,000 of the new high-top version being distributed, it is a big deal."
