29 Diner in Fairfax Has Closed; It Opened in 1947

Calling all restaurateurs: The diner is for rent.

A restaurant that got its start in the area in 1947 has closed its doors.  Posted on its Web site is a note to diners:

"The 29 Diner closed it's doors and went out of business May 2014. The Diner is now for rent. No further information is available at this time.

The 29 Diner opened on July 20, 1947 and closed 66 years later in May 2014."

Interested in starting your own restaurant at the site?  There's a for rent sign on the door of the closed diner, located at 10536 Lee Highway in Fairfax. You can call (703) 401-0866, according to the sign on the door.
