Latest Exhibit to 'Pop Up' in Old Town Saturday

A new exhibit 'pops up' at this temporary gallery every couple weekends.

Downtown Fairfax City's temporary "pop-up" art gallery, the Metropolitan Art Project, gains in popularity each week, particularly since the Washington Post wrote a favorable review of it in its "Going Out" section recently.

The Project's latest pop-up exhibit opens with a party this Saturday, July 13, from 6-9 p.m.

Called "Citizen," the exhibit will feature the works of artists Miki Saito, Kyrae Cowan, Jordan Sanders, Lorenzo Cardim, Michael Schiffer, Handirubvi Wakatama and Kevin Thomas.

"Citizen" will remain open through July 19.

Metropolitan Art Project is located at 10409-A Main St. in Old Town Fairfax. For more information, call 703-772-0294 or e-mail robertcyi@gmail.com.
