Debi Smith in "Look Up at the Hawks" - a 3-generation collaboration

"LOOK UP AT THE HAWKS," a program of readings and songs, featuring award-winning singer/songwriter, Debi Smith (www.debismith.com), and her mother, Vivian.  

This program is a three-generation collaboration inspired by the personal journal of Debi's grandmother, Ruth Morgan Smith.  Excerpts of Ruth's writings, compiled and read by Vivian Smith, offer poignant reflections of her life on the Nebraska plains in the 1930s and 40s.   Debi's original songs, interspersed with the readings, provide a stunning musical tribute to her grandmother's words.  Admission is $15 at the door.
