Water Main Break Affects Homes Near Old Lee Highway

Some residents reported their water being shut off or the water pressure becoming very low.

A water main break that occurred Monday afternoon cut off water to some homes and lessened water pressure in others who live off of Old Lee Highway.

The neighborhoods most affected were Great Oaks, Country Club Hills and Old Lee Hills, but City officials said some surrounding homes may have also had their water supply affected.

Full water pressure and supply were reportedly restored by around 6:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, City officials said. By 6 p.m., some customers told Patch their water pressure was already returning to normal.
