UPDATED: Snow Closures and Delays in Fairfax Wednesday
Details on snow closures and delays for schools, government offices, recreation classes and centers and more.
The icy, snowy weather isn't over.
It looks like the Fairfax area is in for more snow closures and delays for Wednesday, Jan. 22. Though snow is expected to end by 11 p.m. Tuesday, temperatures could dip into the negatives by nighttime, extending into early morning.

SCHOOLS
Fairfax County Public Schools will be closed again Wednesday, Jan. 22. As of now, school and administrative offices will open at noon.
School Age Child Care Centers (SACC) are also closed Wednesday.
As this marks the fifth canceled school day this year due to inclement weather, the school district now has to implement makeup days.
CITY OF FAIRFAX
City government offices are open, and employees are granted liberal unscheduled leave.
Bulk brush, debris and yard waste collection is delayed Wednesday. Items will be collected by Saturday.
When schools are closed due to inclement weather, all recreation classes and programs, including at the Senior Center, are cancelled. All facilities where these programs are held will only be open for administration purposes—Sherwood Community, Green Acres Center, Senior Center, Old Town Hall and Historic Blenheim.
