New Year, New Hours at Historic Blenheim

Find out what the Historic Blenheim site will offer in the new year.

Fairfax City's Historic Blenheim and Civil War Interpretive sites will be expanding their hours in the new year.

Historic Blenheim will be expanding its public hours beginning Jan. 2. The Civil War Interpretive Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with guided tours at 1 p.m. through the historic house and site.

Two preserved buildings, Blenheim and Grandma's Cottage, portray 19th-century life and culture. Every year, on May 7, the center hosts a Civil War reenactment of Ulysses S. Grant's confrontation with Robert E. Lee in 1864.

Historic Blenheim and the Civil War Interpretive Center are located at 3610 Old Lee Hwy. in Fairfax City.

For information on additional tours, fee-based educational programs, and more, call 703 591-0560 or click here.

Holiday Closures: The sites will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25, and Jan. 1.
