Crime Report: Man Stabbed in Patriots Cafe Parking Lot

Plus, a handful of larcenies.

 

According to Fairfax City Police, a man was cut with a knife several times in the parking lot of Patriots Cafe last Saturday evening.

Police report that, in the early morning hours Sunday, a man called the police to report that he had been assaulted in the parking lot of the restaurant, located at 10376 Fairfax Blvd., a few hours earlier, at approximately 10 p.m.

The man said that an unknown male accosted him in the parking lot and cut him with a knife several times. The victim said he fought the suspect off and left the scene in his car.

The victim then went to a hospital to get treatment for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

The suspect was described as a slender black male wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Police said the Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

The Fairfax City Police Department also reported the following incidents from May 17-19, 2013. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

May 17 - Larceny: Homeowners in the 4000 block of Hallman Street reported at 12:19 p.m. that two female and two male subjects who had come to the home early for a yard sale had entered their residence without permission and taken a diamond ring, then left the area. 

May 17 - Shoplifting: The manager of the Bed Bath & Beyond at 9666 Main St. reported at 10:35 a.m. that an unknown female subject had been observed picking up items of merchandise and then attempting to fraudulently return the items for cash. When refused by a clerk, the subject fled from the store carrying the stolen items and left the area in a vehicle. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

May 18 - Alcohol Violation: At 1:01 a.m. an officer on patrol observed an occupied vehicle in the park after park hours with one occupant in possession of an alcoholic beverage. An 18-year-old Arlington man was issued a summons for possession of an alcoholic beverage in a City park. The vehicle owner, a 19-year-old Herndon man, was issued a summons for disregarding a posted park regulation sign. 

May 19 - Larceny:  At 4:33 p.m., a vehicle owner reported that, sometime after noon, unknown person(s) had stolen a laptop computer, several items of jewelry and a suitcase of clothing from her vehicle, which was parked in the lot at the Red, Hot & Blue restaurant at 4150 Chain Bridge Road.
