150th Anniversary of Civil War - Celebrate in Fairfax City Saturday!

Authentic period music, demonstrations, balloon aeronautics, hayrides, and even cannon firings - it's an event like no other, for the 150th anniversary.

Come and observe the Blenheim Civil War encampment this Saturday, April 27!

The event is complete with period music, numerous demonstrations—including cannon firing - Civil War balloon aeronautics, Civil War medicine, and more.

Ten living history presenters will give talks on subjects such as “The Yankee Schoolmarm” and “African Slave Life.” “House Graffiti Tours” and hayrides will also be offered.

Proceeds from the event's $5 admission will benefit the restoration of Historic Blenheim.

This event is included in the Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival schedule.
