About The Goddess Diaries

Modern Myth Meets New Stories of Hope

Voted “Best of the Fringe” two years in a row by DC Metro Theater Arts, The Goddess Diaries stays current by drawing on women’s stories reflecting today’s critical issues, yet it also infuses humor found in the everyday world of women: facing anxiety about marriage and bridal registries, surviving long car rides with young children and searching for a lost pet snake in a mother’s closet.  The monologues are made up by a variety of ages and backgrounds, thus becoming a unified narrative of women’s voices. Such journeys help women and men see they are not alone in their experiences. This year’s spotlight monologue focuses on domestic violence.
