Super Fitness Event a Success

How many fitness enthusiasts can you fit into one super-sized ballroom with room for everyone to dance? Around 2,000 or so. That was the scene at the Washington Hilton on June 27-28th, when Jazzercise, Inc., the international group fitness program, hosted a sold-out, two-day fitness getaway for instructors and customers from here in the U.S. and 14 countries around the world.

Attendees got to meet Jazzercise Founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Misset and her talented team of fitness instructors, who, in addition to teaching their own fitness classes also develop and produce the fun choreography that is the hallmark of Jazzercise fitness. Every ten weeks Jazzercise introduces new choreography and music sets to keep workouts fresh and challenging for its customers.  And what would a fitness getaway be without shopping? Vendors set up a mini mall featuring workout shoes and clothing, tech gear for instructors, skin care products, and more. “It was so wonderful having this event right here in D.C.,” said local Jazzercise instructor Yhomara Warshavsky. “My team and I really enjoyed the experience. The energy level was over the top! We are looking forward to attending again in Dallas next year!”

Jazzercise customers can burn up to 600 calories in one 60 minute cardio and strength fitness class. The high intensity dance-based fitness program mixes cardio, strength training, kickboxing, power yoga and chart-topping music. While most customers come for the fun, they stay because Jazzercise provides a highly effective total body workout plus a sense of community and personalized support. According to members, benefits include increased weight loss, core strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, stress release and a mood boosting endorphin rush.
