Pathway Homes Awarded Grant by ExxonMobil

Fairfax, VA., --Dec. 16, 2013—Pathway Homes received a grant from Exxon Mobil Corporation to support home repairs of permanent supportive housing that makes a house a home for individuals with serious mental illness.

 

The funds were raised by ExxonMobil employees in Fairfax, Virginia as part of the annual ExxonMobil Employees’ Favorite Charities Campaign.  The ExxonMobil Employees’ Favorite Charities Campaign provides employees at the Company’s Fairfax, Virginia offices with the opportunity to choose a charity with 100 percent of their contribution going to the designated charity.  The funds raised by the campaign go to support health and human services charities in the Greater Washington, DC and Northern Virginia community.

“This grant will enable us to provide needed painting and upkeep to a home that provides a place where recovery happens for several individuals that we serve.  In addition to this grant, we want to thank the ExxonMobil employees who came out and painted last fall.  We enjoy our full ExxonMobil partnership,” said Sylisa Lambert-Woodard, President and CEO, Pathway Homes.

“Despite these challenging economic times, our employees have once again set a new giving record,” said Judy Hubka, community relations advisor for Exxon Mobil Corporation.  “Our employees responded to calls for support of local health and human services organizations in the Greater Washington and Northern Virginia area; supporting organizations where we live and work is a basic principal of community relations at ExxonMobil.  It’s important to all our employees that we support the communities that have supported us.”

 

During the 2013 campaign, employees and Exxon Mobil Corporation contributed a record $2,896,000 to support more than 550 different non-profit organizations.  During the past decade ExxonMobil employees in Fairfax, VA have donated more than $26 million to area charities.
