Governor McDonnell Announces Pathway Homes Recipient of $500,000 Permanent Supportive Grant

On April 2, Governor McDonnell announced Pathway Homes is one of three Virginia nonprofits to receive a $1 million special funding allocation.   Pathway Homes will receive $500,000 to support chronically homeless individuals with disabilities in Fairfax County.

These funds were granted to organizations with the capacity and expertise to provide quality residential supportive services.  In a recent report released by Fairfax County’s 100,000 Homes Campaign, nearly 36 percent of chronically homeless individuals surveyed have a mental illness.  Nearly 60 percent of the individuals served by Pathway Homes have been or would be homeless without our services.   This grant will provide critical support to the most vulnerable in our community.

“Pathway Homes thanks Governor McDonnell for his leadership as he takes this significant step to eradicate homelessness in our state” says Dr. Sylisa Lambert-Woodard, President and CEO.
