 2\, from 5:00 p.m. &ndash\; 6:30 p.m.\nFPY&rsquo\;s bullying prevention
training team will provide an overview of the new bullying awareness and
prevention program. All community supporters of the anti-bullying movem
ent should attend this free event.\nYouth report that they are bullying
and being bullied now more than ever before. All youth are vulnerable\,
but those with special needs\, racial/ethnic minorities\, and LGBT youth
are at even greater risk. The social and emotional effects of chronic b

ndividuals\, families\, and the entire community.\nPeople who are bullie

esteem\, health problems\, poor job and/or school performance and suicid
al thoughts. Workplace bullying and harassment increases the work load o
n mental health providers\, raises insurance rates and cost of health ca
re\, and emotionally takes a toll on families\, friends\, and colleagues
in the work place.\nLaunch reception attendees will learn:\nThe basics
of FPY&rsquo\;s program approach\n&nbsp\;How to get their community-base
d organization or business involved\nHow to support and be a part of thi
 s ongoing initiative\n\nParticipants can register at www.fairfaxyouth.or
