Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle shortly after noon Friday while trying to cross the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Chain Bridge Road.

Police received a call about the incident at 12:17 p.m. and temporarily closed the intersection to work the scene. Fairfax Boulevard and Chain Bridge Road is now open to traffic, though officers will remain there to investigate the incident, said Sgt. Joe Johnson of the City of Fairfax Police Department.

None of the injuries sustained by the pedestrians are fatal.
