Saturday Traffic Alert: Closures on Rt. 50
One lane closed leaving Fairfax City for much of Saturday morning
The right lane of Rt. 50 will be closed from 4 a.m. to noon Saturday between Prosperity Drive and Stonehurst Drive

Drivers should avoid Arlingtoun Boulevard (Route 50) on Saturday between Prosperty Drive and Stonehurst Drive, as crews shut down one of the right westbound lanes for milling and paving work.
The closure is in effect from 4 a.m. to noon Saturday.
"Electronic message signs are in place today to notify drivers, and police will be on site during the closure," according to an alert from the City of Fairfax.
