President Obama recently stated, if reelected, he might rustle up a Secretary of Business. Why ? Because, when it comes to business, Obama is LOST.
How can this be?? Obama has a dream team right, and he comes up with this now.

Unemployment number rose this morning to 7.9% from 7.8% ...More of the SAME..!!!.Come Tuesday America make a choice between Stagnation and prosperity
Vote Mitt Romney a man who knows how to get you back to work.

Because, when it comes to business, Obama is LOST.

The really funny part, Elayne, is that we already have a Secretary of COMMERCE---our "smartest President ever" apparently does not understand what commerce is.

But where is good ol boy George W through all of this? Where is his public campaigning?

Oh, he has been busy, you say.

He has been lecturing about moving money off shore to the Caymans, but don't expect details, as they have a "blackout" on the details from his speech there last night:

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/02/14875519-blackout-imposed-as-george-w-bush-speaks-at-cayman-islands-investment-conference

And not getting any love from the Texas press over it:

http://dallasmorningviewsblog.dallasnews.com/2012/11/bushs-top-secret-cayman-islands-speech-youre-welcome-america.html/

Guaranteed, next year's keynote speech will be from "former GOP presidential candidate; Mitt Romney."

You probably didn't notice George W isn't running this year.

What we all noticed is that Romney is trying to run away from George W, while promising to bring us right back to the same policies of the Bush administration that proved to tank the economy.

@Watts - Same policies? The repeal of Glass-steagall happened under Clinton, as did many other de-regulations (remember Rubin and what Al Gore's focus at that time). And who put Fannie/Freddie on steroids.

What many fail to realize is we had a 30 year credit bubble burst. This has been a global fiscal crisis and still deleveraging. It's the new normal.

Still waiting for detailed answers for:

(1) What are your plans for tax reform?

(2) What are your plans for entitlement reform?

(3) What are your plans for overall spending reforms?

Why these questions: See CNBC's "Are we rich or poor?" debate (worth watching):

http://bipartisanpolicy.org/projects/debt-initiative/about

Did I hear correctly? Last night, I heard VP Biden assert "Obamacare makes medicare solvent to 2024". Did he mean 2124? That's 12 years from now and based on likely rosey projections.

Mr. President: Why in the world did you push through Obamacare before focusing on jobs and housing? If urgent, why the 3 year delay in implementing? Why didn't Obamacare focus more on controlling costs vs insurance reforms?

Gov. Romney: Why not disclose your taxes?

Obama's highest number of working people is lower than George W Bush's lowest number..and population growth is on TOP of that. Want a job? Vote for Romney. Want to keep your job? Vote for Romney.

I suggest continuing to try. Sometimes folks post stuff like this to discourage people from trying to get tickets. Those are loathsome people, so I'm sure you're not doing that "Republican", but seats may miraculously come available for those that try.

FYI - Romney's Jeep ad merely states they are planning to make Jeeps in China. Some are saying not true "since not at the expense of any US jobs". This makes no sense. What Romney is saying is true. The question is whether that Jeeps should be made here and exported to China vs made in China.

I've heard from many (including our President during the last debate) that Romney "would have liquidated the auto industry"

CNN Reality Check: Erin Burnett clarifies the "auto bailout" spin from the media.

Let's start with the allegedly Romney NY Times Op Ed entitled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt". HE DIDN'T WRITE THAT. His title was something like "The Way Forward for the Auto Industry". The horribly pathetically biased NY Times wrote that title.

This is the first time I've heard this. Amazing.

Romney merely proposed an orderly bankruptcy. Guess what, that's what ended up happening after taxpayor funding. A bankruptcy.

Romney and Governor Macaca are wrong for Virginia. The billionaires and polluters cannot buy an election unless middle class voters vote against their economic interests or stay home because of the lies and negative ads. Moderate, progressive Northern Virginia, get out and vote, and let's keep moving FORWARD!!!

Romney was gov of MA. He's a moderate despite the media rhetoric. Donated what he inherited to charity. Currently donates more than the President, VP and VP candidate combined. But not perfect and we should be proud of both candidates.

However, we are clearly facing a fiscal crisis. Just look at Europe, many US states and cities. Our economy has benefits from enormous stimulus from the gov't and Fed and other countries, yet we are still sluggish. I think largely because of the enormous uncertainty relating to future taxes and future fiscal policy.

Here's a question? Do you recall the original purpose of the AMT tax? It was to make sure the "Rich" paid their fair share. How's that working for you? Ironic that many complained about Romney and Buffet only having to pay 14%, but that's our current tax code. It's a joke because of all the loopholes, exemptions etc. That's how so many wealthy avoid paying taxes.

So Romney says lower the rate and remove those loopholes and no one understands the benefits and how that reforms can actually result in more revenues.

We need tax reforms and spending reforms (including entitlements).

Obama says 2 to 1 ratio is fair. Really? Any idea of the size of our unfunded liabilities?

Watch the PBS video of what happened to NYC in the 1970s. We need to get our fiscal house in order. No one will suffer more than the middle class if not fixed.

@JByrd

"He's a moderate despite the media rhetoric."

By media rhetoric, did you mean the fact that the media had cameras and microphones on him when he spoke to Americans?

"I was a Severely Conservative Governor"

No mater how much people like yourself lied and lied and lied on sites like this, the truth prevailed.
