Virginia High School League Northern Region Cheerleading Championship was held on Saturday at Fairfax High School.

The eight schools competing included host Fairfax, Stone Bridge, South Lakes, Herndon, West Springfield, Chantilly, South County, and Centerville.

The top four teams in the region advance to the state competition on Nov. 12 at VCU in Richmond including the Northern Region Champions Fairfax Rebels (263 pts), runner-up Stone Bridge Bulldogs (256 pts), third place team Herndon Hornets (251.5 pts), and fourth place team the West Springfield Spartans (227 pts).
