Fairfax Police are looking for a well-dressed man who robbed a Denny's Restaurant manager early New Year's Day.
The robber — who was wearing a gray suit or tuxedo and a white dress shirt — approached the manager, a 25-year-old Fairfax County man, about 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Denny's at 10473 Fairfax Blvd., police said.
The man produced a handgun and ordered the manager into the office where he demanded he open the safe and hand over the money, police said.
The manager complied, and the suspect fled through the back door of the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured, police said.
The robber was described as a white male about 50 years old, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 175 pounds. He may have been wearing a gray-haired wig.
He was carrying a black-colored handgun. Anyone with information is asked to call City of Fairfax Police at (703) 385-7924 or Crime Solvers at (703) 591-9477.
Callers to Crime Solvers may remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.
