Police Seek New Leads in Unsolved Murder

One year ago this October, a prominent local businessman found murdered in his Fairfax Station home, dead of trauma to the upper body. Over the past year, detectives have searched for new leads, but to date 

Yun owned the Dr. Wash Carwash on Route 50 in Chantilly, and another in Georgia. He was well-known in the Korean-American community was also a member of the Korean-American Association of Virginia.

Fairfax County Police think that someone out there knows who killed Yun. Detective Connie Morris, who is working on the case, and Officer Roy Choe, an officer from the , along with others from the department, sat down to talk about the facts of the case. In an effort to reach as many people as possible, Choe spoke in Korean. 

Choe translated what he said into English. 

English language translation:

On Oct. 7, 2010, it was a Thursday, in the 5700 block of Ladues End Court (near Fairfax County Parkway and Popes Head Road) at a single family home when we responded for a murder case.

When we arrived, we found the victim deceased. His name is Yong Suk Yun, he was 61 years old. He was living with his two sons and wife. He lived in the US for quite a long time. He loved to play golf. His last business was Dr. Wash at Route 50. He was also a member of the Korean-American Association of Virginia.

During the investigation, detectives found out his car was missing. They were looking for the car. Four days later on October 11, 2010, (it was a Monday and a holiday), an officer discovered the car in Annandale on Americana Drive.

Now, the police are looking for information on a white truck with trailer. The truck was seen near the scene and if there is someone who knows about this vehicle, please contact us. Editor's note: see illustration attached to this article.
