Example of vehicle sought in hit and run case

Fairfax City Police released new surveillance images of what may be the vehicle that hit a man walking along Fairfax Boulevard and Warwick Avenue in June.

Mohammad Jabour, 33, was struck by an SUV while walking on the sidewalk on June 15. The impact threw him more than 50 feet into a parked vehicle.

He remains in a coma.

Police suspect the vehicle was a white 1999 or 2000 Toyota RAV 4 with a black wheel cover over the rear-mounted spare tire. Photos of the vehicle were taken by cameras on Fairfax Boulevard around the time of the crime.

Call Lt. Rory Castillo of the City of Fairfax Police Department (703) 385-7848 if you recognize this vehicle or know anything else that may help the case.

Crimesolvers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Call (703) 591-8477 to remain anonymous.
