Fairfax City Police made two assault arrests in separate incidents on Feb. 19 and 20. Here are the details:
- Assault Arrest, Mosby Woods Condominiums: Gloria Ann West, 51, of Mosby Woods Drive was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 23-year-old woman and threatening her with a knife on Feb. 17. Police said the incident began as a verbal argument that turned physicial. The victim was not injured. West was charged with assault.
- Assault Arrest, 3900 Jermantown Road: Jason Edward Blake, 37, of Covington Street was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal a 42-year-old woman's cell phone on Feb. 18. She also supposedly threatened and intimidated his victim. The victim was not injured. Blake was charged with assault and drunk in public.
