Two people were injured when a woman accidentally drove through the front window of the East Market Starbucks at 12599 Fair Lakes Circle on Wednesday morning.

Patch reader Shawnee Ryan sent us this photo.

According to Fairfax County Police public information officer Lucy Caldwell, a 54-year-old Maryland woman was attempting to park in front of the store at around 9:45 a.m. when she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and drove right through the front window.

Two people who were sitting near the front window sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Caldwell said. One of the two was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Caldwell said on Friday no information was available about whether any charges will be brought against the driver.

Patch spoke with an employee of the Starbucks, who said that the store was repaired quickly, and is open for business.

"It's all fixed - you'd never even know it happened now, by looking at it," the employee said.
