Culipher, Petersen: State Senate – District 34

Incumbent , a Democrat, is facing a challenge from . Petersen (websiteFacebookTwitter) has served in the Virginia State Senate since 2008. Culipher (websiteFacebookTwitter) is a lawyer and law professor.  

Bulova, Schoeneman: House of Delegates – District 37

Incumbent Democrat  is facing a challenge from Republican . Bulova (websiteFacebookTwitter) has served in the House of Delegates since . Schoeneman (websiteFacebookTwitter) has been in politics since 1995; he also was a small business owner and currently works for a maritime labor union.  

Fairfax County Sheriff

Republican  is facing current  in this election. Cooper (websiteFacebook) is a former deputy sheriff lieutenant.  Barry (website) has been Fairfax County Sheriff for 12 years, though there is some controversy over  as it relates to his potential re-election.
