Drop Off Unwanted Meds at Police Station

Police will safely dispose of unwanted medications.

Get rid of your unused prescription drugs at the Fairfax City Police Department Saturday. Police will collect unwanted medications as part of a national effort to cut back on prescription drug chemicals in water sources and landfills.

Drug Take-Back Day starts at 10 a.m. at the police station on Old Lee Highway, next to the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center and Van Dyck Park. City officers will take your prescription and over-the-counter medication until 2 p.m. and dispose of it by the nation's Drug Enforcement Administration standards.

No identification or prescription information required.
