You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
ZOE'S KITCHEN -- I've been a fan of Zoe's Kitchen since 2004, when I lived in Birmingham, Ala. When I drove by the new Fairfax location in December, I immediately pulled my car into the parking lot and marched inside to find out that, yes, this was the same Zoe's Kitchen!
Since 2004, it turns out this small southern chain has franchised itself all over the the United States. I particuarly love the all-white meat chicken salad and feta coleslaw. The Fairfax location also offers greek-inspired pita sandwiches, hummus, kabobs and "YaYa's Hand-Made Chocolate Cake."
Zoe's Kitchen is located at 10955 Fairfax Blvd. in Fairfax and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
