Police are investigating a Jan. 3 evening robbery in the 10900 block of Marilta Court in Fairfax City.

At around 7 p.m. three unknown males jumped a 26-year-old walking along Marilta, according to the City of Fairfax Police Department. The suspects hit the victim in the face and stole his cell phone before fleeing in a brown, two-tone SUV.

They were last seen turning off the court onto Jermantown Road.

The victim didn't need medical attention.
