The Center’s Medical Transportation and Companion Shopping programs offer free transportation to seniors in the Fairfax  and Burke area who no longer drive.  The trips normally take two hours and average about 20 miles, and destinations are to medical, dental, rehab, and shopping locations in the Fairfax and Burke regions.  Transportation must be scheduled three days in advance Office volunteers take phone requests and arrange for drivers Volunteer drivers are not asked to take more than one drive per week. Medical drives can be scheduled Monday through Friday, while shopping trips are scheduled only on Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning.  Volunteers work in our office at 4019 Olley Lane, Fairfax for three hours every other week.  If you can volunteer your time, please contact the office at 703-323-4788.
